The pilot revolves around "Red" (James Spader, The Practice/Lincoln), the world's most-wanted criminal who mysteriously turns himself in and offers to give up everyone he has ever worked with. His only condition is he will only work with a newly minted FBI agent Liz Keen (Blue Bloods' Megan Boone) with whom he seemingly has no connection. MPTD sits down with popular DC-based web series creators and Filmmakers of the Month Anthony Anderson and Otessa Ghadar to discuss what goes into creating a web series and why everyone is so hooked on their shows. Anthony Anderson's Anacostia: The Web Series is heading into its 4th season and Otessa Ghadar's Orange Juice in Bishop's Garden is in the middle of its 6th season. They discuss a new partnership between the DC Film Office, DC Shorts and Speakeasy DC for a new film competition called Speakeasy Shorts that will debut on November 9.
Thea Bender, intern with the DC Office of Motion Picture and Television Development, speaks with Peggy Pridemore, one of the premiere local location managers. Over the past 25 years, Pridemore has served as location manager for the District on such blockbuster hits as Forrest Gump, Independence Day, Wedding Crashers and Minority Report.
Lauren Bellamy, intern with the DC Office of Motion Picture and Television Development, chats with Matthew (Matt) Noonan, a local location manager. Noonan is the owner of Noonan Films and has worked on several major film and television projects shot in the District including J. Edgar, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and The Wire.
